CINÉMA DU LOOK : Festival Poster
The Cinéma du Look film festival is a festival held showing films made during the French film movement of the same name, in the 80s and 90s. The films within this movement generally focused around young outcasts, but in a very stylized, American manner. Because of this juxtaposition between stylish and alienated, I focused the design of the film festival poster around stylish glitching, keeping it subtle enough that it wouldn’t feel unnatural to the crisply made genre, but also enough (especially with the type) to get the point across of two very different things clashing together to form a very distinct genre in France.
A poster with the dimensions of 24x36in was created and physically printed out.
